faq

  • Media producers interested in collaborating or featuring me in projects can easily contact me here. I am always open to exploring new ventures and sharing engaging stories with audiences everywhere. I've sought a sunken Maya city in Guatemala, filmed UFOs over Utah's Skinwalker Ranch, and chased a lost horde of pirate silver into a snake-infested swamp. Nothing is out of the question!

  • I typically delve into stories steeped in mystery and historical intrigue, primarily focusing on pirate lore, sunken treasures, and maritime legends. My research takes me to remote and often unexplored locations. Investigations typically involve deep study of historical sources and local folklore before physical surveys are ever conducted. My primary interest is in shallow water wrecks and undiscovered coastal havens. My goal is often to locate long-lost historical sites so they can be logged, studied, and preserved by appropriate authorities. I've also been involved with various terrestrial and aquatic cryptozoological research.

  • I have led several expeditions focusing on pirate history and aquatic folklore in the Caribbean, Central America, and American South. Noteworthy projects include the discovery of submerged 19th century wagons, investigations into Costa Rica's Cocos Island, and extensive research put into rewriting the death of a pirate. Most recently, I led a team of Canadian researchers to an uninhabited island in southwest Louisiana unearthing artifacts supporting a theory the island was once a secret pirate haven.

  • I'd love to! No matter the size of your project, I'd love to appear on your show. Reach out here with your ideas.

  • Yes, I am available for speaking engagements, guest lectures, conferences, and panel discussions on topics related to treasure hunting, underwater exploration, unexplained mysteries, and pirate folklore. I have presented to everyone from students to historical societies and enjoy sharing my experiences and insights with diverse audiences. For booking inquiries, please reach out here.

  • My inspiration stems from a lifelong fascination with water and its mysteries, influenced by my family’s history in maritime exploration. I grew up around fascinating stories, including my uncle's accidental discovery in Panamá of a ship theorized to have belonged to Henry Morgan. To me, treasure hunting is less about physical discoveries and more about using stories to inspire and educate audiences about real history and science. Stories, after all, are how we connect as humans.

  • In addition to appearances, I've also started producing and directing my own television projects. My first film, Wild Majesty: Africa's Circle of Life, recently won numerous international awards. I'm currently working on three distinct books about my experiences as an investigator, including one about a multi-year investigation into a Masonic pirate conspiracy. Expect more on this very soon!
